Thanks, Ignatius. Wednesday, October 28, PM. Hope this helps you. Thanks and Regards, Ananda. Thursday, October 29, AM. Hi Ananda, Thanks for your reply but it does not solve my problem. I used Windows Easy Transfer to move data to another drive before installing Windows7. I then used it to transfer back all of the data. It does not appear to have transferred any of my previous emails - or, if it has, then I cannot find them. Fortunately, I had backed up Windows Mail in two places. One of them is Windows.

What I need are detailed instructions how to recover, and be able to read, my previous emails in WindowsLIve Mail, please. Incidentally, I filed this question under Application Compatability because it relates to the compatability of Windows Mail now not available for Win7, I assume and Windows Live Mail which seems to be Microsoft's alternative programme.

I really hope you can either help me or direct me to another site where I might get the help I need. Thanks and regards, Pete Saturday, October 31, PM. Hi Pete Thanks for your reply. Monday, November 2, AM. Hi Ananda, Thanks for taking all the time to try for an answer for me. Unfortunately, the suggestion you made does not solve my problem. It is that file which is copied in Windows.

I did use it to transfer data back to Win7 but it does not seem to have transferred the emails. I have used the WindowsLiveMail Import facility but which file s should I list as the source of messages to be transferred? Hope you can advise please.
